Det var i slutet av mars som denna bilmodell erh\u00f6ll priset som den b\u00e4sta bilen fr\u00e5n 1920- och 1930-talet p\u00e5 Motor Klassik Awards<\/em> som ordnades av det tyska motormagasinet Motor Klassik. Det var l\u00e4sarna som r\u00f6stade fram utm\u00e4rkelsen som redan \u00e4r den femte g\u00e5ngen samma bilmodell erh\u00e5ller titeln. Faktum \u00e4r att Bugatti \u00e4r det f\u00f6rsta bilm\u00e4rket som har vunnit utm\u00e4rkelsen samtliga g\u00e5nger man deltagit i t\u00e4vlingen.<\/p>\n

Bilmodellen Bugatti 57SC Atlantic \u00e4r kanske mest k\u00e4nd f\u00f6r att denna tillh\u00f6r Ralph Laurens privata samling. Denna bil \u00e4r v\u00e4rderad till 40 miljoner dollar. Det \u00e4r dock inte det enklaste att f\u00e5 tag p\u00e5 denna fantastiska sk\u00f6nhet. Mellan \u00e5r 1936 och 1938 byggdes n\u00e4mligen endast fyra exemplar av modellen 57SC Atlantic. Av dessa existerar endast tv\u00e5 bilar i ursprungligt skick.<\/p>\n

Av den bilmodell fr\u00e5n Bugatti som g\u00e5r under beteckningen Type 57 <\/em>\u00e4r Atlantic den mest k\u00e4nda varianten. Med SC-modellen (d\u00e4r SC st\u00e5r f\u00f6r ”supercharger”) ville Jean Bugatti, son till grundaren Ettore, erbjuda en sportigare modell till standardversionen. Type 57SC \u00e4r egentligen inget officiellt Bugatti-namn, men anv\u00e4nds ofta f\u00f6r att beteckna de 57S som har \u00f6verladdad motor.<\/p>\n

Namnet p\u00e5 sportversionen var egentligen Type 57S och var helt nykonstruerad, j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med standard-57:an, med ett kortare och l\u00e4gre chassi. Bakaxeln gick genom chassibalkarna, ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r som normalt under dessa. Jean Bugatti hade f\u00f6rsett bilen med en enkel form av individuell framhjulupph\u00e4ngning. F\u00f6r att kunna montera motorn s\u00e5 l\u00e5gt som m\u00f6jligt i chassit, hade 57S samma motor med torrsumpsm\u00f6rjning som t\u00e4vlingsbilen Type 59. Priset f\u00f6r en 57S var dubbelt s\u00e5 h\u00f6gt som f\u00f6r en standard-57:a. Trots det blev den f\u00f6r dyr att tillverka och ersattes fr\u00e5n 1938 av 57C. Motorn p\u00e5 denna modell hade f\u00f6rsetts med kompressor f\u00f6r att \u00f6ka prestandan.\u00b9<\/p>\n

I sin helhet uppgick tillverkningen av modellen Type 57 och 57C till 630 exemplar.<\/p>\n

Under denna auktion s\u00e5ldes en Bugatti Type 57C coup\u00e9 Atalantic <\/em>f\u00f6r 2,903,200 \u20ac, vilket \u00e4r 30 108 919 SEK med dagens kurs.<\/p>\n
